Fees for paid-leave forms (AB 2292)

The Governor's office summarizes AB 2292, signed September 28, 2026, as barring physicians from charging unnecessary fees to complete forms required for paid family or medical leave (Governor's release). Before changing an office fee schedule, practices should read the chaptered text for four things: which forms are covered, what counts as an unnecessary fee, when the law takes effect, and how it is enforced.
