- Fresno approval confirmed. Amendment XIII to the CFMG agreement (File 26-0855; Agreement No. 26-459; Resolution No. 26-329) passed on the Board’s 22 September consent agenda. - Four roles in one Fresno record. - A California employment case goes back to state court. Vizgaudis-Gomez (E.D. Cal.) was remanded on 30 September: no complete preemption under LMRA §301. The CBA is between CFMG and AFSCME Council 57. Remand only — no joint-employer or wage finding. Article 059

- Wright (Stanislaus): scheduling, not a new holding. A 29 September order stayed the expert deadline and set a 13 October hearing. The entity-specific discharge ruling is the separate 15 September order. Article 080

- 5–6 October 2026 · bankruptcy · insurance
In the Wellpath SF Holdco reorganized-debtor case (Bankr. S.D. Tex. No. 4:24-bk-90566), the debtor moved on an emergency basis (Dkt. 2009) to vacate an order (Dkt. 2000) that had let the Estate of Abby Angelo proceed nominally against Wellpath LLC to reach insurance proceeds, and filed an objection (Dkt. 2010) and a supporting declaration (Dkt. 2011). On 6 October the court granted vacatur (Dkt. 2012) and set the estate’s underlying motion (Dkt. 1955) for hearing on 26 October 2026.

- 2 October 2026 · California · regulation
The Office of Administrative Law approved OHCA’s emergency amendments to the material-change and cost-and-market-impact-review rules (OAL file 2026-0922-03EE; 22 CCR §§ 97431–97442). The approved text states its effective date as 2 November 2026. AB 1415 itself has been in effect since 1 January 2026; the rules implement it for management services organizations and other noticing entities.

Vizgaudis-Gomez v. California Forensic Medical Group, Inc., E.D. Cal. No. 2:26-cv-02403, Dkt. 13: the putative wage-and-hour class action, which names CFMG and Wellpath LLC as defendants, was remanded to Sacramento County Superior Court (No. 26CV011196). The court held the state-law claims were not completely preempted by LMRA §301; the collective-bargaining agreement relied on is between CFMG and AFSCME Council 57.
What this is not: a finding on joint employment, unpaid wages or any other merits question. See: Article 059

Morabito v. Westchester County, No. 7:22-cv-06853, Dkt. 125: the Wellpath defendants’ motion to dismiss was denied. The bankruptcy court had allowed the plaintiff a late proof of claim on 2 February 2026 for lack of notice; and, applying Fifth Circuit law, the court reasoned that notice of a bankruptcy is not necessarily notice that claims against individual non-debtor employees will be released, finding at least a factual dispute over whether the plaintiff received that notice.
What this is not: a holding that the plan is invalid, or a dischargeability ruling — the court left §523(a)(6) to the bankruptcy court. See: Article 080

Wood v. Wellpath, LLC, No. 1:23-cv-00811, Doc. 84: on three motions to dismiss, claims against Wellpath LLC for inadequate medical care, failure to train and negligence will proceed; the failure-to-intervene claim against Wellpath LLC was dismissed. The court also expressed skepticism that news articles incorporated into a complaint can supply the facts a claim needs.
What this is not: a liability finding, or a ruling on ownership or discharge.

Estate of Jeremiah Wright v. County of Stanislaus, E.D. Cal. No. 2:24-cv-02505, Dkt. 135: the court stayed the 30 September expert-disclosure deadline and set an in-person hearing on 13 October 2026 on the non-county defendants’ request to extend deadlines. The caption continues to name CFMG, Wellpath LLC and Wellpath Management, Inc. separately.

Gaines v. Wellpath, LLC, No. 1:25-cv-01294, Dkt. 96: the court adopted the magistrate judge’s report and recommendation, denied Wellpath LLC’s motion to dismiss (Doc. 45) and returned the case to the magistrate judge.
What this is not: a ruling that the plan is ineffective or that every claim survives discharge. Rulings on other defendants’ motions in the same case are not summarized here.

File 26-0855 and the 22 September meeting record (agenda item 35) show Amendment XIII to the agreement with California Forensic Medical Group, Incorporated approved on the consent agenda (“Pass”); the meeting’s minutes are marked final. Agreement No. 26-459; Resolution No. 26-329. The cumulative ceiling rises by $6,104,438 to $400,479,492, term unchanged, with $1,797,018 added to FY 2026–27 Sheriff appropriations. The staff report names Wellpath to provide and coordinate the CalAIM Justice-Involved services and Medusind, Inc. as its billing vendor. The 1 October go-live it describes is a planned date; no public record reviewed shows services delivered or claims paid.

Hall v. County of Fresno, E.D. Cal. No. 1:11-cv-02047: no order on the plaintiffs’ motion to enforce twenty-two medical provisions (Dkt. 230) appears in the Prison Law Office case repository, which lists the September 10, 2026 reply (Dkt. 240) as the latest filing. The motion was noticed for September 21, 2026; whether that hearing proceeded or the matter was taken under submission could not be confirmed from public sources. The County’s position that the decree expired on October 30, 2019, and the plaintiffs’ position that it remains in effect, are both litigation positions until the court rules. Full record: Hall v. City Council agenda calls for a second amendment involving CFMG and Wellpath for healthcare at the Santa Ana Jail: a further one-year renewal through 30 September 2027 at $3,664,243 annually, bringing cumulative authorised compensation to no more than $17,507,799.

The Hernandez v. County of Monterey contempt settlement administrator reports first settlement payments mailed. The settlement site identifies CFMG as the jail healthcare provider and states CFMG agreed to pay $2.47 million regarding contempt liability for violations of healthcare-related court orders.
CFMG’s distinct post-bankruptcy liability has moved from approval into payment administration.

The Eastern District of California issues a discovery order in Estate of Jeremiah Wright v. County of Stanislaus, No. 2:24-cv-02505. The caption separately identifies CFMG, Wellpath LLC and Wellpath Management, Inc. alongside individual medical personnel. All three corporate layers appear simultaneously in one current California case.
The order concerns reconsideration of discovery rulings; it does not resolve the relationship among the entities. See: The Three-Entity Problem

Anderson v. County of Santa Barbara, C.D. Cal. No. 2:26-cv-10199, filed. The complaint separately names California Forensic Medical Group, Inc. and “Wellpath, Inc.” Another post-restructuring civil-rights case pleading the identities separately.
Defendants’ eventual Rule 7.1 disclosures may become useful evidence on the ownership question.

El Dorado County files an administrative-expense application in the Wellpath bankruptcy identifying “Contract #2989 … Between County and California Forensic Medical Group” and stating that the contract was assumed by the Debtors.
