CMS published the 2027 Medicare Advantage and Part D Star Ratings on October 8, 2026. The ratings are available for the enrollment period running from October 15 through December 7, 2026.

CMS reports that about 37% of Medicare Advantage prescription-drug contracts offered for 2027 received at least four stars. About 71% of current enrollment is in contracts with that rating. Those percentages measure different things: one counts contracts; the other weights the result by enrollment.

A rating is one part of a coverage comparison, alongside benefits and costs. Do not treat a contract-level score as a promise about a particular clinical encounter or as confirmation that a specific clinician or medication is covered.
