The California Secretary of State lists October 19, 2026 as the regular voter-registration deadline for the November 3 general election.
The official calendar separately identifies October 20 through November 3 as the conditional voter-registration period. People using that process complete conditional registration and cast a provisional ballot through the designated election process.
These are different procedures. Missing the regular deadline should not be described as eliminating every registration option. Consult the Secretary of State and the relevant county elections office for eligibility, locations, and instructions.
